Hrm, I’ve thought about getting a Basenji. “Mischieviousness” had me nervous though. Ripping couch up while you’re gone etc…  ? ?

As the owner of a basenji-mix, I can say really, truly… do not get a basenji. Nothing you read about them is exaggerated, they really do trash everything if you let them and they are disturbingly smart.

They are African cat-demons that wear the skins of dogs in order to torment us foolish humans. Behind their beauty lies an ageless evil.

My dog laughs at me every day.
