Proud Mother?
The vet said my dog was a “clever chap” with a “lovely temperament” as she examined him and he pretty much just let her pull his eyelids and his mouth and feel his willy and the place where his balls used to be. He didn’t even flinch!
He was so very well behaved, and even gave her a lick on the hand (his regular ‘thanks!’ gesture) after she gave him his injection.

Reason #542 I would make a terrible mother
I played with my dog outside in the dark, wiped him down when he came in, and then noticed him holding one front paw up at me. Turns out he’s hurt it somehow, cue me giving it a full examination with prodding and pinching, then once I found the tender spot, trying to see if it’s a broken toe or what.
I’m going to assume that had his little toe-bone been broken, I’d have some nasty bite marks on my hand right now, and so I’m going to take away from this experience that I am a weenie who is overly concerned about my poor little
babydoggy. He’ll probably be right as rain tomorrow.

What Dogs Are Really Thinking (via klaatu42)

I realise I forgot to acknowledge on here that, at the end of September, I have had my lovely little dog Rocky for two whole years.
It’s amazing what a difference the silly animal has made to my life.

”When the researcher either sneaks away one of the treats or stealthily adds an extra before raising the screen, the dog will wait longer — appearing to puzzle over the bad math — before eating the treats.”
Really? The dog will puzzle over the bad math before eating its treats? Who ARE these dogs??

Amazon.com: Starmark Bob-A-Lot!
This is the best dog toy in the world. You fill it with 3 cups of dog food, open the little door on the purple bottom or take of the yellow cap and open a bigger door and sit it on the floor. The dog then has to knock it around to get the dog food out. It’s feeding and keeping the little pup busy for hours. I love this thing.
We use Kong toys (the red rubber toys that you just put treats in rather than actual food) to keep Rocky busy, since he prefers his dinner out of his bowl every evening. I love these kinds of toys though, not only are they excellent for the co-ordination and mental development of a dog, it’s also really fun to watch a dog play with them - so cute! :D
